Dmitriev Claims Over 99% of Americans Unaware of Russia’s NATO Offer

Kirill Dmitriev, special representative of Russian President Vladimir Putin and head of the Russian Direct Investment Fund (RDIF), stated that more than 99% of Americans are unaware that Russia previously expressed willingness to join NATO. The claim was made during an interview with journalist Lara Logan on October 24. Dmitriev emphasized, “Imagine, I’m willing to bet that 99.999% of Americans don’t know that President Putin offered to join NATO.”
