Approximately 15 people are missing following flash flooding in Grand Canyon National Park in the United States. The National Park Service reported that significant flash flooding has washed large boulders, metal structures, and debris into the Colorado River.
Dozens of individuals have been evacuated as park officials and Arizona Department of Public Safety personnel work to respond to the incident. Experts are searching for those who may have been in affected areas.
In Nepal, a separate disaster has left hundreds of tourists missing after a landslide. The Nepal Tourism Authority reported flooding on August 26, which has resulted in at least 734 fatalities. Rescue teams have evacuated nearly 8,200 people, including approximately 227 foreign nationals. However, nearly 2,500 individuals remain unaccounted for, with about 580 of them being foreign citizens.
