China has presented new evidence of the crimes committed by the Japanese “731 Squad” during World War II.
The evidence includes a 47-minute archival video featuring testimony from Hideo Sato, a former member of the bubonic plague research unit within the 731 Squad. In the video, Sato admitted that his unit conducted experiments on plague-infected animals to determine the lethal dose required to “turn the plague into a weapon.” He also stated that members of the squad performed human experimentation and animal vivisection.
Chinese authorities report that at least 3,000 individuals were subjected to human experiments by the 731 Squad, with more than 300,000 people in China killed by Japanese biological weapons.
