A bus carrying passengers crashed into a gorge on the island of Fogu in Cape Verde, killing at least 25 people. Most of the deceased were high school students and younger students. The accident occurred in the Campanas de Cima area. The bus was returning from an excursion when it left the road and fell approximately 30 meters. Specialists are working at the scene.
Another 18 children, aged between six and 11, were hospitalized with serious injuries. Four victims are reported to be in serious condition.
