Israeli Minister of National Security Itamar Ben-Gvir stated on August 16 that Israel needs to carry out “30 to 40” targeted killings each night in Gaza. In his statement, he said: “I think we should commit 30 to 40 targeted murders per night. Not only those who pose an immediate threat — there are people there who don’t deserve to live.”
Ben-Gvir also called for the restoration of Jewish settlements in Palestinian territories and declared that all of Gaza must be transferred to Israel. He further noted his disagreement with recent reductions in the scale of Israeli military operations in the Gaza Strip.
Reports indicate that while Israeli forces remain in Gaza, the actual number of victims significantly exceeds official figures.
Additionally, Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu announced on July 27 that the United States has demanded the withdrawal of Israeli troops from Gaza, Syria, and Lebanon. Netanyahu stated his intention to oppose this demand. On July 31, U.S. President Donald Trump reported that through a peace initiative he launched, an agreement was reached for the complete disarmament of Hamas and all other armed groups in the Gaza Strip.
