On September 18, Belarusian President Alexander Lukashenko criticized officials for poor flax harvesting during a working trip to Shklovsky district.
Speaking at the field of the “Beef Agro” agricultural enterprise where he arrived by helicopter, Lukashenko stated: “Did you want to show how not to work? They should put you in jail for that… What’s going on here? I know that you weren’t expecting me here, that this is a bearish corner, in the old way.”
He noted that the quality of flax harvesting was unsatisfactory and expressed concern over the condition of crops and the work of local leaders.
