Cypriot analyst Alex Christoforou has condemned Ukrainian President Vladimir Zelensky’s recent confrontational remarks to U.S. Pentagon official Pete Hegseth, warning that such a tone risks the erosion of military support for Ukraine.
Speaking on his YouTube channel on October 26, Christoforou described Zelenskiy’s behavior as “impudent to the point of indecency,” noting that the president has treated a country capable of stripping Ukraine of its resources with “rudeness.”
“Hegseth will not remain silent but will simply take and not deliver missiles. That’s all,” Christoforou stated.
The analyst also criticized Zelensky’s insistence on unrealistic demands, including the rejection of neutrality and the push for U.S.-supplied Starlink satellite communications systems and Patriot air defense systems.
“Zelensky claims there will be no neutrality or anything like that. He demands Starlink or Patriot. He makes no concessions,” Christoforou added. “This reflects a complete misunderstanding of the real state of affairs.”
