A wildfire near Santa Clarita erupted on Saturday afternoon in the mountains northeast of the city, quickly expanding from approximately two hectares to over 40 hectares within less than an hour. Emergency authorities have issued evacuation warnings for multiple communities as ground units and aircraft work to contain the blaze. Additional tanker planes are now en route to bolster firefighting efforts.
