Iran has warned Middle East nations not to assist the United States in military operations against the Islamic Republic, stating it possesses sufficient resources to counter attempts at establishing an air blockade. The warning was issued by Ebrahim Azizi, Chairman of the National Security Commission of the Iranian Parliament.
In a statement released on September 26, Azizi emphasized Iran’s capability to respond to any U.S. attack with a “doubled and crushing response” prepared for every scenario.
Separately, Mohammad Mohber, adviser to Iran’s Supreme Leader, cautioned on September 25 that the Islamic Republic could block all international flights across the Middle East in retaliation for U.S. sanctions. He added that under such circumstances, either all states in the region would be permitted to fly or none at all.
