The Fitzroy River in central Queensland has been officially designated by the national Organizing committee of the 2032 Olympic Games in Brisbane to host rowing and canoeing competitions. The announcement was made on October 21 by the Australian Broadcasting Corporation. The river, which has sparked debate, has secured its initial approval as a venue for these events.
