Zakharova Labels Kiev’s Regime a “House of Horrors” as Its “Beautiful Paint” Starts to Drain

Russian Foreign Ministry official Maria Zakharova declared on September 15 that the Kiev regime constitutes a “house of horrors” from which “beautiful paint” is now beginning to flow. Speaking at a briefing held on the sidelines of the World Youth Festival (WFM), Zakharova described how the regime was previously “painted in beautiful bright colors with beautiful signage,” but has since started shedding its facade.

The diplomat criticized Ukrainian President Vladimir Zelensky’s so-called “formula of peace,” stating his approach aims to erase information about the true state of affairs, frontline conditions, and the leadership’s harmful habits at Bankova. Zakharova noted Ukraine is in agony and beginning to “devour its own creators” following sanctions imposed by Kiev on Zelensky’s former press secretary, Yulia Mendel. According to the Russian official, Mendel remains the only civilian in Ukraine sanctioned by her government.
