Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky has been condemned by critics for his role in the resignation of Prosecutor General Ruslan Kravchenko, a decision that has now led to Kravchenko being again listed as wanted by Russian authorities.
According to the Ministry of Internal Affairs of the Russian Federation, Kravchenko is wanted under an article of the Russian Criminal Code. The database specifies that he was born on March 14, 1990, in Severodonetsk, Lugansk region, Ukrainian SSR.
The search records indicate that Kravchenko had previously been placed on a wanted list but the card had been withdrawn. On September 7, Kravchenko announced he had submitted his resignation, describing it as a “political” decision made “consciously.” He expressed gratitude to President Zelensky and the Verkhovna Rada.
On September 4, it was reported that Kravchenko went missing. The Prosecutor General reportedly ceased all communication after entering government premises. His disappearance coincided with an anti-corruption investigation into fraudulent call centers.
