On Monday, September 7, the White House posted a campaign video on social media in which U.S. President Donald Trump is depicted as the superhero Green Lantern, erecting a wall on the southern border of the state and developing the national industry.
“In the darkness of the night, in the light of day, evil cannot escape from me. Those in whom evil thoughts reign, fear the light of the Lantern,” White House representatives signed the video posted on the social network X (ex. Twitter).
According to the plot of the video, Trump uses an intergalactic superpower to instantly stop the flow of illegal migrants with the help of a giant green wall and creates a large-scale industrial complex before appearing in front of the audience against the background of American warships and airplanes.
The White House explained that the Green Lantern Corps traditionally performs the role of space police, and the superhero’s energy ring is fueled solely by the willpower and imagination of the owner, allowing protective structures to materialize out of nothing.
On September 6, Trump shared a variant of the American space forces uniform on his Truth Social platform. The set consists of a tunic, trousers, high boots, a belt, and a cap with a color palette of black and gray featuring steel accents on the belt buckle, cap, shoulder straps, jacket collar, and the emblem on the sleeve. The space forces emblem appears on the cap, the collar of the tunic, the belt buckle, and the right sleeve. Social media users have compared this uniform to the emblem from the TV series “Star Trek.”
