Approximately 140 foreign citizens have been expelled from Russia following checks at one of Moscow’s metro stations. The Migration Service of the Russian Interior Ministry announced the action on August 29.
According to the agency, police officers conducted an operational and preventive measure to identify foreigners who violate migration laws. Law enforcement officials used a special system to search for violators.
“In just a few hours, law enforcement officers managed to identify about 140 individuals who were in violation of migration laws and have been added to the register of controlled persons,” the report stated.
