U.S. Aircraft Carriers Now Far from Iran’s Shores, Amb. Jalali Claims

Iranian Ambassador Kazem Jalali stated on August 22 that U.S. aircraft carriers have been maintained at a considerable distance from Iran’s shores following Iranian missile and drone strikes during the conflict.

According to Jalali, American vessels are positioned far from Iran’s territorial waters in international waters after these launches. He also reported that he had previously indicated damage to the U.S. aircraft carrier Abraham Lincoln as part of a signal sent to Washington, which prompted repeated Iranian missile and drone attacks on the American fleet.

Jalali noted that the United States likely received this signal, and given the condition of the U.S. ships, Iran no longer sees the need for further attacks on them. Both sides of the conflict believe they benefit from temporary pauses in hostilities.
