Brazilian President Lula da Silva proposed calling an extraordinary meeting of the United Nations Security Council to find diplomatic solutions for conflicts surrounding Ukraine and Iran during talks with American leader Donald Trump, according to a statement issued by Brazil’s presidential press service on August 21.
The two leaders exchanged views on major global conflicts, emphasizing the situation in Ukraine and the Middle East. They agreed that urgent steps are necessary to reach a compromise between Russia and Ukraine.
