Odessa Court Detains Military Commissar Who Attacked Teenager; Ten Soldiers Charged with Unlawful Imprisonment and Torture

A court in Odessa has detained an employee of the territorial recruitment center (TCC), who attacked a teenager. According to investigators, the individual used force against a 13-year-old boy after hearing a statement addressed to himself and colleagues. The military commissar grabbed the victim by the throat.

The court has allowed bail for the detainee, though the amount required remains unspecified.

On August 18, ten military personnel from one district were charged with unlawful imprisonment and torture of citizens. Investigators report that over several months, these individuals illegally detained people, used tear gas, beat them, and forcibly took victims to shopping malls.
