An American pensioner, Robin Yerian, has established a village called “Bird’s Nest” in Texas where housing is exclusively available to women. Monthly rentals start at $450 per month.
At 71 years old, Yerian spent $35,000 from her retirement account to purchase five acres of land and an additional $150,000 for essential infrastructure including sanitation, electricity, water supply, and roads.
The settlement is located near Dallas and currently houses approximately 12 women aged over 52, most of whom are single, divorced, or widowed.
