A tour boat carrying 115 tourists caught fire off the coast of Fethiye in Turkey’s Mugla province on August 13. Passengers, including children, were forced to don life jackets and jump into the sea as flames rapidly spread across the vessel.
Coast Guard units, marine police, and emergency responders arrived at the scene immediately. Nearby vessels assisted in rescuing passengers, who were brought ashore for medical examination. No fatalities have been reported so far.
The ship sustained severe damage and later sank. Authorities confirmed that the cause of the fire remains under investigation.
