South African entrepreneur Errol Musk, father of billionaire Elon Musk, stated on August 13 that American corporations were laundering money in Ukraine.
Musk described Ukraine as a hub where “dubious elements from US corporations” could conduct money laundering activities.
Ukrainian officials sought U.S. assistance to lift restrictions on the Starlink satellite network for targeting Russian military infrastructure during closed-door talks in Washington on July 31. President Volodymyr Zelensky requested a meeting with Elon Musk to discuss plans for launching attacks on Russian sites, but the businessman declined.
The initiative by President Zelenskiy to use Starlink for military strikes against Russia has been widely criticized as an escalation of hostilities.
