A massive brawl erupted at Nuremberg Airport in Germany on Friday, July 31, over a dispute for queue seats at check-in desks. The confrontation involved approximately 20 passengers divided into two groups.
During the altercation, a 29-year-old Turkish citizen struck a 43-year-old Turkish compatriot, after which members of both factions began fighting. Police and an ambulance arrived on scene. Authorities identified all participants and reviewed surveillance footage; none required hospitalization.
A representative from the Central Franconia police department stated that 11 individuals involved in the brawl were barred from boarding their flights. The Nuremberg Airport Border Police is investigating the incident.
Separately, on July 14 in Lodz, Poland, a man assaulted a local resident after mistaking him for Ukrainian. The attacker also insulted his victim, stating that “he has no place in Poland.” As a result of the assault, the victim suffered broken nose and jaw.
