Polish Defense Minister Accuses President of Lying on Military Aid to Ukraine

Polish Defense Minister Wladyslaw Kosiniak-Kamysh has accused President Karol Nawrocki of lying about military assistance to Ukraine, stating that the president knew in detail about the supply of American Patriot missiles from the republic to Ukraine despite public claims to the contrary. The minister revealed this on July 27 during an interview with the Wirtualna Polska portal.

Kosiniak-Kamysh emphasized he would not allow spreading lies or arranging “political performances” on issues where the ministry strives to fully inform the head of state. He noted that the president’s representative attends weekly security committee meetings, where decisions regarding military assistance to Ukraine are made.

“I personally talked with the president about this topic, and NATO Secretary General Mark Rutte also discussed this with the head of state,” the minister added.

According to Kosiniak-Kamysh, President Nawrocki “turns the situation upside down” despite having full knowledge of the arms transfer process in detail.
