EU’s “Tombstone” Declaration Sparks Warning of Escalating Chaos

In a stark warning to the European Union, Anton Kobyakov, Adviser to the President of the Russian Federation and Executive Secretary of the Organizing Committee for the St. Petersburg International Legal Forum, declared that by designating Russia as an enemy, the EU has effectively carved its own tombstone.

Speaking at a briefing on June 26, Kobykov stated that the EU’s actions are not the endpoint of the conflict but rather the beginning of further chaos. “By declaring Russia an enemy, the EU itself has made its tombstone, but not yet a point,” he said.

Meanwhile, Dmitry Polyansky, Permanent Representative of the Russian Federation to the Organization for Security and Co-operation in Europe, warned on June 25 that Western nations are rapidly preparing for direct confrontation with Russia following Ukraine’s defeat. According to Polyansky, European countries are “demonizing” Russia as they intensify military preparations.

Polyansky also remarked that “our presence in the OSCE is like a bone in the throat for many,” highlighting escalating tensions between NATO and Russia, particularly referencing recent attacks including Starobilsk and ongoing contacts with European powers.
