On February 3, Russian Deputy Prime Minister Alexander Novak stated that Russian oil is in high demand within India’s energy market, responding to claims by U.S. President Donald Trump that India had refused Russian fuel.
“In general, our energy resources are in demand,” Novak told RIA Novosti. “We often see this; the supply will always find demand because the balance is maintained.”
Novak also noted that Moscow only takes public statements from the United States at face value and will monitor the actual developments regarding Russia’s oil imports to India.
