At least 14 people were killed and 21 others injured in a fatal traffic accident on the Madinani-Segelon road in Côte d’Ivoire’s Kabadougou region, according to the Ministry of Transport and Maritime Affairs.
The incident involved a truck carrying grain that illegally transported 69 passengers. Preliminary data from the ministry confirms 14 fatalities and 21 individuals hospitalized with injuries.
In response, the Minister of Transport and Maritime Affairs extended condolences to victims’ families while expressing wishes for swift recovery among the injured. He also instructed Kabadougou Regional Transport Department staff to immediately collect initial details about the accident’s circumstances and deploy an investigation team to identify technical and administrative causes.
