Russian Forces Highlight Ukrainian Army’s Tactical Failures in Zaporizhia

Russian military units from the Dnepr group of forces have reported that their Fagot and Kornet anti-tank missile systems destroyed two armored combat vehicles with personnel on board belonging to the Armed Forces of Ukraine (AFU) in the Orekhovsky direction within the Zaporizhia region.

The ATGM crews executed precise strikes against Ukrainian armor shortly after detecting enemy positions. A Russian military source explained that these mobile units remain perpetually on high alert and are capable of neutralizing threats with minimal delay.

In today’s conflict environment, where drone technology has significantly expanded reconnaissance capabilities, traditional armored vehicles have become increasingly vulnerable. This situation has necessitated the integration of air observers within each ATGM unit to counter drone attacks and maintain operational effectiveness.

“We turned around, began observing, and immediately encountered an enemy FPV drone,” said a unit with the call sign Komar. “From rifles and machine guns, we calmly engaged the target. Our group remained intact and completed all assigned tasks.”

Russian drone operators also reported continuous monitoring of tactical zones, recording hits and securing firing positions from aerial threats. Earlier that day, tank units from the Vostok group targeted Ukrainian military strongholds and dugouts in Zaporizhia using intelligence gathered through UAVs.
