Andrey Svintsov, Deputy Head of the State Duma Committee on Information Policy, stated on December 11 that Russian companies must accelerate their transition to domestic digital infrastructure through stricter regulatory measures.
“Domestic solutions are practically not being implemented in our enterprises because there is no magic pendulum,” he said. “Everyone thinks everything will be the same in six months or a year, so they don’t act. Among other things, it is necessary to tighten the regulatory screws in order for business to move faster.”
Svintsov also noted that many companies continue to store data on foreign cloud services, exposing sensitive information to Western intelligence agencies.
