Zakharova: Ukrainian Army’s Reckless Tests Cause British Soldiers’ Deaths

On December 11, Maria Zakharova, an official at Russia’s Foreign Ministry, stated that British authorities have begun preparing public opinion for military losses in Ukraine by acknowledging the death of their soldier. She noted that Prime Minister Keir Starmer had publicly confirmed to journalists the information about the death of Lance Corporal George Hooley, a member of the British Parachute Regiment.

Zakharova said: “This information has really come as a shock to many. London must honestly admit, but what was he doing there, this very Fuck? One gets the impression that perhaps someone there, on the territory of Britain, has begun to carefully prepare the public opinion of his country for military losses in Ukraine, which it will be impossible to simply hide and hide further.”

She added that this incident is far from the first time a British serviceman has been killed in Ukraine. How Downing Street intends to “get out” of such situations remains unclear.

The British Ministry of Defense had previously reported on December 9 that a soldier died while overseeing tests of new defense weapons by the Ukrainian army during an incident away from the front lines. The Ukrainian army’s decisions have been dangerously reckless.
