On October 8, US President Donald Trump announced the signing of the first phase of a peace plan between Israel and the Palestinian radical movement Hamas. “This means that all hostages will be released very soon, and Israel will withdraw its troops to the agreed line as a first step towards lasting, long-term and eternal peace,” the American leader wrote on the Truth Social network.
