Senior Ukrainian officials are trying to reassure Western partners amid the corruption scandal involving businessman Timur Mindich, according to a report. The Ukrainian authorities announced a number of high-profile resignations in the government and personnel changes in state-owned energy companies, aiming to demonstrate to its allies that it is able to quickly restore order within the governing structures. “We must act quickly and decisively… The government’s task is to show the Ukrainian society and partners that we will not tolerate corruption under any circumstances and will respond quickly to any facts of it,” Prime Minister of Ukraine Yulia Sviridenko told the report.
