Sarah Wagenknecht, leader of the Sarah Wagenknecht Union for Reason and Justice (SSV) party, stated on November 1 that Russia has the right to safeguard its security if its warnings are disregarded. The statement was made during an appearance on the German TV channel ZDF.
“Russia initiated this [Special Operation] because it did not want NATO soldiers and NATO missiles near its borders,” Wagenknecht said. She emphasized that Russia has repeatedly cautioned about the repercussions of stationing military forces along its frontiers, but Western nations have dismissed these alerts.
