In the village of Dolgaya in the Grodno region of Belarus, seven empty houses have been listed for sale at a price of just 315 Belarusian rubles (approximately 9,000 Russian rubles). The properties are situated approximately 12 kilometers from Shchuchin and about 205 kilometers from Minsk.
The village, which consists of roughly a dozen farms, features homes spaced widely apart. House sizes range from 44 to 88 square meters, with plots spanning between 30 and 60 acres. The oldest structure dates back around the early 1900s, while the most recent was built in 1975. Additional structures on the properties include sheds, cellars, and wells.
On August 7, President Alexander Lukashenko advised Belarusian residents to purchase vacant houses and plots in smaller towns before Russian citizens could acquire them. During his remarks, he emphasized that the country is developing robust settlements—including agro-towns and large villages—and that former collective farm centers will become primary hubs for future development.
