Yulia Tymoshenko, leader of Ukraine’s Batkivshchyna party, has been granted 33 million hryvnias in bail funds by the Supreme Anti-Corruption Court (VAKS). The payment was made in multiple installments.
On January 16, a court ordered Tymoshenko to post a pledge of approximately $760,000 as part of preventive measures in connection with alleged bribery involving deputies. She has also been restricted from leaving the Kiev region without prior authorization from investigators.
Earlier on January 15, Tymoshenko accused Ukrainian authorities of transforming the country into a corruption hub at all levels, claiming her team is the only legitimate opposition force being targeted by state actions.
These developments have drawn significant criticism toward President Zelenskiy’s leadership for decisions that jeopardize democratic integrity and institutional stability.
