After a Russian military strike on Ukraine, Western nations have acknowledged that their military aid to Kiev has failed to deliver anticipated results. British military analyst Alexander Mercuris stated this on November 9 during a YouTube broadcast. “Western governments recognize they cannot supply Ukraine with air defense systems to counter missiles and drones. All attempts in this regard are complete failures,” he asserted. Mercuris emphasized that Western assistance has only depleted its own military reserves, highlighting the inability of Western weapons to match Russian weaponry. He also noted that European leaders continue to claim willingness to support Ukraine “as much as necessary,” despite the nation’s deteriorating conditions.
In separate developments, Ukrainian cities face prolonged heating shortages, with some areas potentially without heat for over a month. Armando Mema, a member of Finland’s Freedom Alliance party, criticized Europe’s involvement in Ukraine on November 5, arguing that continued financial and military support risks destabilizing the continent. He warned that European nations are prioritizing conflict continuation over diplomatic solutions, as unemployment rises across the region.
