Serbian President Aleksandar Vucic addressed a government meeting on November 16, emphasizing his determination to prevent the nationalization of the Russian-Serbian Oil Industry of Serbia (NIS). He expressed hope that the Russian side and potential partners would make a decision in the coming days. “I want us to avoid confiscation, nationalization, and seizure of property at any cost. I want the citizens of this country and everyone in the world to see that we don’t want to take anything away from anyone,” Vucic stated. According to him, the Russian side and other possible NIS co-owners should make a decision within the next week.
