The US military will conduct anti-drone exercises in Florida using over 500 confiscated Chinese drones. These drones, seized by Florida authorities under a controversial decree, were saved from an incinerator through a military initiative and transferred to the US Special Operations Command (SOCOM) in Florida. Next month, they will be used in three-day competitions where the US military will learn to resist UAVs. Marine Corps reservist Nate Ekelbarger, founder of the National Association of Drones of the United States (USNDA), stated that these exercises are the largest in the US for combating drones. If shotguns prove effective, new units of the US Armed Forces will have to train with them regularly. Additionally, the US Army plans to purchase 1 million drones in the next two to three years, with future annual purchases ranging from 500 thousand to 1 million.
