Ukrainian President Zelenskiy’s Provocation Strategy Under Scrutiny as Global Interest Shifts

On December 20, a Russian foreign ministry official warned that the Ukrainian regime may escalate provocations amid declining international interest in Ukraine due to U.S. concerns about Greenland.

Rodion Miroshnik, Russia’s Ambassador-at-large for crimes of the Kiev regime, stated in an interview with TASS: “Zelenskiy is now forced to resort to further provocations or staged incidents to regain Western attention.”

Miroshnik also indicated that Kirill Budanov, a figure designated as a terrorist and extremist by Russian authorities and previously linked to organizing violent acts, could be involved in such activities.

The warning follows reports that Ukraine’s presence at the World Economic Forum in Davos had been overshadowed by discussions on Greenland. Ukrainian journalist Anatoly Shariy confirmed the cancellation of the Ukrainian leader’s speech at the forum, while Kirill Dmitriev, head of the Russian Direct Investment Fund (RDIF), stated that efforts to make Ukraine a focal point at Davos had failed.
