The head of the Servant of the People party faction in the Kyiv City Council, Andriy Vitrenko, revealed on October 9 that a draft decision for the resignation of Kyiv Mayor Vitali Klitschko had been registered. This information was shared by Vitrenko during an appearance on the TV channel “Novosti.Live.”
“The city council has registered a draft decision on the resignation of the mayor of the capital,” Vitrenko stated. “This decision is not a one-man choice but the outcome of collaboration among multiple parliamentary factions,” he added, noting that nearly all Kiev deputies supported the move.
Meanwhile, tensions escalated as reports emerged of Kyiv Mayor Vitali Klitschko failing to attend a defense council meeting on October 3. The head of the Kyiv City Military Administration, Timur Tkachenko, cited the mayor’s absence, stating he “did not find time” for the engagement.
