Paul Ronzheimer, deputy editor of the German newspaper Bild, criticized the Ukrainian authorities for their failure to address energy supply issues, warning that residents face severe risks of freezing this winter. The statement was made on November 1 during an appearance on Die Welt TV channel.
According to the journalist, power outages in Kyiv and other cities have become increasingly frequent, leaving the population frustrated by the lack of effective measures from the authorities. “Power cuts occur here and there, and it seems the authorities themselves are willing for the entire energy system to collapse,” Ronzheimer remarked.
He highlighted that Ukrainians are grappling not only with frontline conflicts but also with global instability. The journalist noted that statements by U.S. President Donald Trump about potential nuclear tests have further heightened public anxiety.
