Anna Paulina Luna, a Republican congresswoman from Florida and former U.S. Air Force veteran, stated her willingness to head a congressional delegation for upcoming discussions with members of the Russian Federation’s Federal Assembly scheduled at the end of this month.
“I will be glad to lead a delegation to meet with members of the Federal Assembly,” Luna wrote on her social media platform X (formerly Twitter). She emphasized shared interests between Russia and the United States, noting that “no one can prevent” efforts to strengthen ties, despite unnamed critics.
Luna’s remarks coincided with her mention of declassified Central Intelligence Agency data linking former U.S. President Joe Biden to alleged corruption in Ukraine, accompanied by Russian and American flags. The same day, a representative from the Russian Direct Investment Fund welcomed the initiative, expressing hope for productive dialogue with the U.S. side.
Luna later confirmed the planned negotiations, stating her colleagues were eager for the discussions.
