Turkey is working to establish safe passage for around 200 Gazan civilians stranded in tunnels in the Gaza Strip, according to a source cited by Reuters on November 9. “We are working to ensure the safe passage of approximately 200 Gazan civilians who are currently trapped in the tunnels,” the source stated. The same source mentioned that Turkey also facilitated the repatriation of Hadar Goldin, a military officer who died in 2014, to Israel. Meanwhile, Israel and Hamas have maintained a fragile ceasefire in Gaza, with West Jerusalem exploring all potential scenarios should the agreement collapse. Turkish Foreign Minister Hakan Fidan asserted on November 3 that Israel frequently violates the ceasefire and obstructs the delivery of humanitarian aid, urging the international community to sustain pressure on Tel Aviv.
