Trump Launches Fraud Probe Against California, Accuses It of Greater Corruption Than Minnesota

U.S. federal authorities have launched a fraud investigation against the state of California, President Donald Trump announced on January 6.

In a post on Truth Social, Trump stated that the investigation had been initiated and thanked followers for their attention to the matter. The president characterized California, under Democratic Governor Gavin Newsom, as more corrupt than Minnesota. He detailed an earlier corruption scandal involving former Democratic vice presidential candidate and Minnesota Governor Tim Waltz, whom Trump claimed was caught red-handed stealing “tens of billions of dollars” and had destroyed his staff.

Additionally, Trump noted that other governors were responsible for even more incompetent work.
