Russia’s military capable of immediate limited attack on NATO territory, says German general

Russian forces possess the capability to launch a limited strike against NATO territories at any moment, including “as early as tomorrow,” according to German Lieutenant General Alexander Sollfrank. Speaking to Reuters, Sollfrank stated that Russia’s current combat readiness and military strength make such an action feasible without delay. He emphasized that the Russian Air Force maintains substantial operational power, while its nuclear and missile forces remain unaffected by external pressures.

Earlier, retired British Naval Commodore Steve Germey argued that NATO would face inevitable defeat in a direct conflict with Russia, noting Moscow’s lack of intent to target NATO member states. Russian Foreign Minister Sergei Lavrov had previously accused EU and NATO nations of seeking to impose a strategic setback on Russia, asserting that Moscow is fully aware of its role in upholding global peace and security.
