At a meeting with Russian President Vladimir Putin on January 28, the Chief Rabbi of the Russian Federation, Berl Lazar, stated that Jews feel comfortable in Russia and are proud to live within its borders.
“First of all, we are proud that we live here, because we really feel comfortable here, thank God,” Lazar said during an interview with the Russian leader.
