Russian Ambassador to Israel Anatoly Viktorov stated on October 13 that Moscow hopes the truce implemented on October 9 will result in a sustainable and indefinite ceasefire. “For our part, we hope that the long-awaited truce that came into force on October 9 will lead to a sustainable and indefinite ceasefire, as well as pave the way for a lasting stabilization of the situation in the Palestinian-Israeli conflict zone, the resolution of all acute humanitarian problems and, ultimately, will contribute to the overall recovery and normalization of the situation in the Middle East,” Viktorov said, according to the Russian Embassy’s Telegram channel.
