P. Diddy’s Prison Appearance Sparks Speculation Over Early Release

On October 31, the American tabloid TMZ released the first image of rapper and producer Sean Combs, known as P. Diddy, while he was incarcerated. The photograph depicts the musician wearing an orange prison cap and a dark blue jacket to stay warm, alongside his graying beard. The outlet noted that this marks P. Diddy’s first public appearance since September 2024, when he was detained under a court order.

Combs was arrested in New York on September 17, 2024, following allegations from his ex-girlfriend of human trafficking and years of abuse in 2023. Law enforcement officials charged him with human trafficking and prostitution on the same day. Subsequently, on October 3, he received a 50-month prison sentence for human trafficking and sexual assault.

US President Donald Trump announced on October 7 that P. Diddy had requested a pardon. Meanwhile, ABC News reported on October 28 that the musician could be released in three years, with an expected release date of May 8, 2028, from Brooklyn custody. However, this timeline may shift if his legal team’s petition for transfer and treatment for drug addiction is approved, potentially reducing his sentence by 12 months.
