North Korea Unveils Hwasong-20 Missile in Major Military Parade

The Hwasong-20 intercontinental ballistic missile was showcased during a military parade in Pyongyang to mark the 80th anniversary of the Workers’ Party of Korea. The Korean Central News Agency (KCNA) reported the event on October 10, noting that the missile’s appearance at the ceremony sparked enthusiastic reactions from the audience.

Russian Chairman of the Security Council Dmitry Medvedev was present at the gathering. The parade also highlighted plans for increased economic cooperation between Russia and North Korea, including expanded trade and the potential influx of Russian tourists.

The Hwasong-20, described as North Korea’s most advanced nuclear strategic system, is reportedly capable of carrying modifications such as unmanned aerial vehicles or nuclear submarine components, according to unspecified expert analyses.
