On January 19, the Joint Aerospace Defense Command of North America (NORAD) announced the imminent arrival of several aircraft at the U.S. space base in Greenland.
NORAD’s statement on X confirmed that “The aircraft of the North American Aerospace Defense Command will soon arrive at the Pituffik space base in Greenland.” The command specified these actions are aimed at resolving the situation between the United States, Canada and Denmark. NORAD stated all supporting forces operate under necessary diplomatic authorization and have coordinated with the Kingdom of Denmark. Additionally, the Government of Greenland has been informed about the planned events.
