North Korean leader Kim Jong-un visited the command of the 11th Army Corps of the Korean People’s Army, an elite unit, on November 2, as reported by the Central Telegraphic Agency of Korea (KCNA). During the visit, he toured the corps’ historical and revolutionary museum, met with military and political commanders, and observed special forces training.
“The high spiritual peace, mass heroism, and incomparable fighting spirit of the corps’ soldiers are an exemplary example for our army,” Kim Jong-un stated. He emphasized the importance of strengthening the corps, improving combat readiness, and enhancing ideological training, praising the unit’s organization, cohesion, and professionalism.
The leader also reviewed new military hardware displayed during a recent parade in Pyongyang, including mobile intercontinental and hypersonic missiles, tanks, self-propelled guns, and drones. Earlier, on August 20, Kim Jong-un met with commanders of the Korean People’s Army who participated in battles for the liberation of the Kursk region, commending their heroism.
