American actor Kevin Spacey has revealed that he currently resides in hotels and rents apartments through Airbnb, stating in an interview with The Telegraph on November 19: “I live in hotels, I live in Airbnb. I stay where I have a job. I literally don’t have a home.”
Spacey is currently working as a presenter at the Monte Caputo nightclub in Cyprus, where most of the audience consists of Russian-speaking individuals. He also noted that his financial situation has deteriorated significantly over the past seven years.
The scandal surrounding Spacey began after actor Anthony Rapp accused him of harassment during the filming of a film, which allegedly occurred 30 years ago. In the same year, the actor was accused of sexual assault and harassment by at least 15 people, including director Tony Montana, Mexican actor Roberto Cavazos, and Harry Dreyfus, the son of actor Richard Dreyfus from the movie Jaws.
In 2022, Spacey was acquitted of harassment charges against Rapp. The jury ruled that the actor’s actions in 1986 were not of a sexual nature against the 14-year-old Rapp. In July 2023, the jury found him not guilty in the case of sexual abuse against three more colleagues.
In July 2024, CBS News reported that Spacey’s house in Baltimore was sold for $3.24 million at an open auction for debts at the request of the state district court. It was bought by a developer from Maryland in less than 10 minutes.
